Skin cancer is a malignant growth on the skin which can have several causes. Skin cancer usually develops in the epidermis (the outermost layer of skin), so a tumor is typically clearly visible. This makes most skin cancers detectable in the early stages. There are 3 widespread types of skin cancer, every of which is named soon after the sort of skin cell from which it arises. The two most common sorts are basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer. It accounts for more than 75 percent of all skin cancers. Squamous cell carcinomas arise from the upper levels of the epidermis, typically on locations that have been exposed to the sun. Squamous cell carcinoma also can spread internally. They account for about 20 percent of skin cancers in the United States.
